Hello! I am Will Sheridan of HSA for America. I’m proud to be a member of a team of people who are committed to helping you find the answers to questions about health insurance, health care reform and how it will affect you. It can be frustrating to realize that, at the time you need it most, your health insurance can often be less than reliable.
I’m a team player, but I’m also an independent agent. My strategy is simple. I help you step back and get a good look at your specific needs. Then I do the “heavy lifting” to research the companies and plans that fit your needs. Together, you and I can examine plans from many established insurance companies and evaluate your options. It’s a simple approach that will give you the direction, knowledge and information to make a wise choice.
Partners in crime:
Alex, Mimi and Uncle Will
Whatever your special concerns are—comprehensive prescription drug coverage, more coverage for extended hospital stays, preventive care— I am here to help you pinpoint your health care priorities to find the plan you need at a reasonable cost.
I attended Fairfield University in Connecticut, where I majored in finance. After graduation, I focused on building a career in financial services. My interests quickly turned to retirement planning. I particularly liked working with seniors because of the attitude driving all of their financial decisions. I was impressed by the approach of seniors who claimed to be grateful for what they have while always striving for more while always planning for the future. This was the familiar philosophy I grew up with.
Family: My Principal Influence
My parents have passed away, but they are still my biggest influence. They always put us first, and sacrificed many extras to be able to give us the best chance at succeeding in life. Their biggest gift, however, was their attitude. They taught my sister and me to appreciate everything we had, and not to focus on what we didn’t.
Although my parents are gone, I am grateful that I have a large network of relatives. At last count, I have 35 first cousins, and when the family gets together, we often have 100 or more in attendance.
I have not yet been blessed with a wife and children, but I know the future Mrs. Sheridan is out there somewhere! However, my younger sister, Mary Anne, has two children and I love being an uncle to Alex and Mimi, who call Texas home. Since I’ve made Boston my home base, I don’t get a chance to visit with them often, but I make every effort to get down there and make memories with them when I can.
Every time I look at Alex and Mimi, I feel incredibly thankful that they are so healthy. This is one of the things that inspires me in my work. I am grateful I can help my clients protect their children’s health.
Living Life to Its Fullest
When I am not working or visiting my many family members, I am enjoying all types of sports. I’m a big fan of all of Boston’s teams, and I’ve been fortunate enough to attend many Patriots, Red Sox, and Bruins games.
I’ve been playing one sport or another all my life; golf is what I’m best at, though, so I spend a lot of time on the links. My passion for golf has taken me to many places across the United States, and was what led me—a guy who had never been on a plane until age 23—to play at St. Andrews in Scotland, the birthplace of golf. I’ve also been to Ireland twice.
Running our Local Road Race
I’m also a runner, although not particularly fast, and I’ve tried a few triathlons. Next up for me might be a half marathon – after all, my sister has been able to do that!
So that sums me up: A sports-lover and people person with a passion for helping others. I know you are grateful for the many blessings you have and want a way to protect them. Call me at HSA for America. I’m ready and willing to help!
